Je voudrais d’abord vous féliciter pour votre qualification pour la 4e édition du Championnat Dominion des clubs de curling. Au nom de Curling Québec, je vous souhaite la bienvenue à Montréal-ouest.

Pour la plupart des curleurs, le fait de pouvoir participer à un championnat provincial se veut la concrétisation d’un rêve. Pour d’autres, par contre, cette compétition représente une étape plus importante, puisque l’objectif ultime demeure l’obtention de la bannière des champions provinciaux, voire même celle des nationaux par la suite.

J’espère que cette fin de semaine de compétition comblera vos attentes. Mais la compétition étant ce qu’elle est, une seule équipe méritera le droit de représenter le Québec au Championnat canadien qui se déroulera au Scarboro Golf & Country Club, Toronto, Ontario le 19 au 24 novembre 2012.

Le comité organisateur, dirigé par Mme. Catherine Hughes, travaille depuis plusieurs mois déjà, afin de rendre inoubliable votre visite à Montréal. Merci à tous les bénévoles pour les efforts investis afin de faire de cet événement un grand succès.

Finalement, un merci spécial à la compagnie d’assurance générale Dominion du Canada, partenaire majeur associé à ce championnat provincial, ainsi qu’aux autres partenaires. Sans vous, la présentation de cette compétition ne pourrait être possible.

I would first like to congratulate you for qualifying for the 4th Edition of The Dominion Curling Club Championship. On behalf of Curling Québec, welcome to Montreal West Curling Club.

For most curlers, taking part in a provincial championship is like a dream come true. For others, this competition is but an important step, the final objective being to take home the provincial champions’ banner and eventually, the national one.

I truly hope this weekend of competition will allow you to reach your goals. But competition being what it is, only one team will gain the right to defend the Québec colors at the national championship, which will be held at the Scarboro Golf & Country Club in Toronto, Ontario from November 19 to 24, 2012.

The organizing committee, presided by Catherine Hughes, has been working hard for quite some time to make your visit to Montreal an unforgettable one. On your behalf I thank all the volunteers for the efforts they have made to make the Championship a resounding success.
